The Lake Forest Park Garden Club was founded in 1924 as a non-profit organization dedicated to gardening. Through the years members have met to learn, to share information and ideas, and to have fun. Some of the goals of the club are to study plants; develop home gardens; aid in protection of native plants and birds; and promote friendships among our members. The mission of the Lake Forest Park Garden Club is to serve our community through various activities. By working with other organizations we hope to contribute and improve the quality of life in Lake Forest Park.

The Lake Forest Park Garden Club is one of two garden clubs in Lake Forest Park. Our club is an independent group without affiliations to any other organizations. The other garden club in Lake Forest Park is also named the Lake Forest Park Garden Club, but is affiliated with the Washington State Federated Garden Clubs of America. To differentiate between the two clubs the other Lake Forest Park Garden Club has the initials WSFGA following its name.
